Mr. Webb graduated from Troy High School in Troy, Mo., in 1941.He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-64, serving during World War II.He retired as a master chief petty officer.
Mr. Webb married Jean Weitkamp Jan. 27, 1945, in Missouri.He worked for Stanford University Linear Accelerator until 1986, when he retired to Nevada City.He served for a short time on the board of the Banner Mountain Homeowners Association.He also belonged to the Fleet Reserve.He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and traveling in his motor home.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; son and daughter-in-law, James and Sharon of Lake Oswego, Ore.; daughter, Sharida Ann Webb of Vallejo; grandson, Adam Webb of Lake Oswego; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law Justin and Becky Cook of Maryland and Brandon and Yoko Cook of Beaverton, Ore.He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Ray Ellis; and brother, E. Leon Webb.
