Staff member Anne Webb said meetings were held in January and February to survey the public's needs and wants.Webb said among the concerns she heard was that of resource protection.She said Stark Park is going to take a more active role in conservation and preservation.

Webb said safety is another interest of those surveyed.She said classes have been held on topics including simple rules of courtesy when using the parks' trails.Public awareness is something Stark Parks wants to build on , Webb said.One way people can learn more about the parks is to log on to the district's web site at www.starkparks.com.Concerns about hunting have been voiced , as well.Webb said at Deercreek and Walborn reservoirs , for example , the trails will be closed during hunting seasons.One idea that Webb discussed was the need for overnight accommodations.
