Christy joined Planning Workshop Australia having recently completed her Bachelor of Planning Degree at the University of New South Wales, in November 2002.

Her previous experience involved working in both strategic planning and development assessment roles in local government, through employment as a student town planner at Manly Council from July 2000.

During this time she gained extensive strategic planning experience through the preparation of Local Environmental Plan amendments, assessment of rezoning applications and research and reporting on environmental planning legislation.Work also incorporated coordination of the Manly Design Awards 2000.In addition, she was involved in development control planning, through assessment of various development applications.

Following her first year at Manly Council, Christy spent a semester of her course studying at the University of Nottingham in the UK, gaining a wider perspective on planning issues.On return, Christy resumed work at Manly Council gaining further experience in assessment of residential, commercial and industrial development applications.

On beginning with PWA, she has been involved in major development projects, including the preparation of Statement of Environmental Effects for development applications on industrial land at Erskine Park within the City of Penrith.
