Mark R. WatrosDirector of Construction and Maintenance
Mr. Watros joined MariTEL in March of 1996.Mr. Watros is responsible for overseeing the construction of MariTEL's 161 tower Network.This includes tower site preparation, erection and installation public coast station electronics.Mr. Watros is also manages the coast station's post-construction operation and maintenance program.Prior to joining the Company, he was an Electrical Officer with Oceaneering International, Inc., an advanced applied technology company that provides engineered services and hardware to customers who operate in marine, space and other harsh environments.He worked on projects involving the Space Shuttle and undersea fiber optic cable operated by AT&T.From 1989 to 1992 and 1993 to 1994, he worked at SONAT Offshore where he calibrated and repaired marine electronic instrumentation.From 1992 to 1993, he worked as a Technical Specialist at the University of Southern Mississippi researching and developing computer-based sub sea oceanographic equipment.From 1987 to 1989, while at Lockheed Martin, he supervised a group that designed, manufactured, and installed testing instrumentation consoles for Navy Hovercraft.Mr. Watros earned an Associates Degree in 1973 from the University of New York and an Associated Degree from Phillips College, majoring in Electronics Engineering Theorem.
