  The church welcomed Mt. Hermon Sanctuary Choir, and Bishop Donald J. Washington, both of Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church in Columbus.
  
  Washington is a native of Columbus, and after graduating from the public school system there, he entered the Army.
  
  Washington served in the Vietnam War as a forward observer with the America Division and the 11th Infantry Brigade. Upon return, he was awarded the air medal, the Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart.

  Federal prosecutors have declined to pursue child pornography charges against an Arnaudville priest, citing questions about whether they could prove the pornographic images found on a rectory computer depicted children younger than 18, U.S. Attorney Donald Washington said Thursday.
  
  The Rev. Jules Arceneaux, pastor of St. Francis Regis Church in Arnaudville, was removed from his post in July pending an FBI investigation of alleged child pornography downloaded from the Internet on to a church computer.
  
  Diocese of Lafayette spokesman Monsignor Richard Greene said Thursday that Arceneaux will remain suspended from public ministry while church officials conduct their own investigation of the case.
  
  Washington said the church computer contained more than 100 images of young males "in various stages of sexual arousal."
  
  Washington said he decided not pursue charges in the case because of questions over the age of the males in the images.Child pornography laws require that prosecutors prove the pornography is of a person younger than 18.
  
  "They appear to be between the ages of 15 and 21, but with our burden of proof, we would have a fair amount of difficulty establishing that any of them were minors," Washington said.
