Four groups want to build a theater in the Santa Fe rail yard -- Trans-Lux Theatres of Santa Fe; Century Theatres of San Rafael, Calif; Madstone Theaters of North Hollywood, Calif., and a group of Denver investors headed by Pete Warzel.

Warzel is a founder of Magnolia Pictures.It had bid for the theater but withdrew after it was purchased by another firm.Warzel was unavailable for comment Thursday.He also represents Brook Partners, a real-estate firm negotiating a contract for rights to build the theater.
