LEWISTOWN - On most days, Mark Warren uses his welding tools to manufacture industrial freezer vestibules - not exactly a job that pushes creative boundaries.
So when a challenge to create unique Christmas decorations for Lewistown's downtown presented itself, Warren's eyes lit up brighter than his torch.
...
"I have a passion for it," Warren said.

Several local businesses pitched in for the project, but Warren, who works at HCR, ran with it.Along with charging only $350 for each one, Warren added something to give each snowflake a unique Lewistown touch.
Each metal flake contains a map of Montana, with a heart in the center where Lewistown is located. The round snowflakes dangle from 2-foot red scrolls with the words "Happy Holidays."
"I try to build things that you can't buy in a store," Warren said."We're pretty proud that we can offer something for the beautification of Lewistown."
Once Warren got the ball rolling, his co-workers got involved, using the company's high-tech laser cutting machines to etch out three- dimensional snowflake spokes.
