From 1987 on, Pascal has done extensive database and information systems R&D work at the Sandoz (today Novartis) IT Research Center, jointly with Hewlett-Packard.There, he developed new innovative concepts for database access on the technological forefront.He applied these concepts to the development of a highly sophisticated Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), which is still in use today.

From 1990 to 1995, Pascal worked for SBC (today UBS), exploring neural networks applied to forecasting and trend analysis systems.From 1995 until today, he works as a consultant for various large banks, the health care industry, the pharmaceutical and chemical industry and in various e-commerce projects.

Pascal studied mathematics and computer science in Basle and Zurich.He acquired the state of a research fellow which is equivalent to a PhD. Pascal's main technical knowledge is in requirements engineering, application concep-tion and modeling, and software architecture design.He is based in Basle , Switzerland.
