   On April 23, 2003 at 1:15 p.m., Dr. Robert Waltzer, a professor at Belhaven College, will bring his Immunology Class to tour Baptist's lab showcasing practical applications students will learn before the school semester is over.

   Who is Rob? Robert Waltzer was born in Philadelphia, PA. He attended the University of Delaware and received a BA in Biology. He then attended Ohio State University, which he received a PhD in Anatomy with an emphasis in Neuroanatomy. He became a Christian while in graduate school. He has taught at Ohio State, Wheaton College, and Belhaven College, where he is currently employed (since 1993). He has interests in Neuroscience, Cell Biology, and Intelligent Design. He has attended and participated in a number of workshops and conferences on Intelligent Design. He has spoken on this before lay groups, academics, and international audiences. His own research focuses on the nature of function and the foundational assumptions upon which it is based. This is to show that design (and a designer) is an integral and necessary part of Biology. He has been a member of Pear Orchard for a little over a year.
