XML , The Great Enabler for eBusiness , Dale Waltz
This presentation focussed on the business benefits of XML implementations.Waltz , a program designer for the Organization for Advanced Structured Information Services ( OASIS ) , outlined the different forms of XML , their histories , and how this language will benefit multiple vertical industries.
According to Waltz , the true benefit of XML is in its simplicity.By demonstrating its form , and the ease in which it is decoded , Waltz illustrated the way a non-technical expert can use XML to further business needs.XML's easy process makes for an accurate , successful standard..
Waltz mentioned several vertical industries that were already benefiting from the ease of XML integration and use , such as publishing , database management , email and music services , and the cartoon syndication industry.Waltz concluded that while core XML technical information , such as IETS standards , is an important foundation for the standard , many non-technical uses for XML will provide significant benefits to all vertical industries that seek its use.
