Mike's responsibilities are planning the future business of the company and the executive management of the company including the sales growth, the business operations, and all administrative systems.
Previously, Mike was President of Ascent Systems, Inc since 2002. His responsibilities include supervising a team of experienced developers. He maintained an active role in application development, including an order tracking and invoicing system for a major provider of surface treatments for the metals industry, and cutting-edge applications for the telecommunications industry and an innovative real estate business technology system. Mike was responsible for the day-to-day business side of Ascent Systems, Inc as well.
In 1998, he was appointed as Executive Vice President, Operations and Technology, for Delta System Designs in Zelienople, PA. In four years at Delta, Mike managed a team of Oracle developers who designed and managed major projects for municipal governments, public utilities, and manufacturing firms.
In 1992, Mike joined the North Pittsburgh Telephone Company in Gibsonia, PA. Mike started as a COBOL programmer, learned Oracle relational database technology, and then led an in-house programming team that developed North Pittsburgh's first Oracle application, the Span/Carrier system. That was developed in 1992 and is currently being used by the network engineers. He later served as Director of Database Development.
At Edgewater Steel in Oakmont, PA, Mike started out as a keypunch operator, became the night operator on the Honeywell mainframe, and then learned COBOL programming.
The strength of Mike's success reflects his experience and accomplishments over the course of nearly a quarter century in information technology. Throughout his career, he has taken on more responsibility and his approach has always been direct and hands-on. -
