Michael Walton was formerly Finance Director of PRI Group PLC.He qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Whinney in 1986.He has substantial experience in the insurance sector, working in both the FSA and Lloyd's markets.He joined the Whittington Group in 1995 to develop its non-Lloyd's insurance activities and was appointed insurance operations director in 1998.Later that year he was appointed managing director of Murray Lawrence Capital Ltd, a Lloyd's managing agent and subsidiary of Whittington Group.He subsequently joined PXRE Managing Agency Ltd as service division director and later the Heath Lambert Group as a director in its capital markets division.

Michael WaltonA graduate chartered accountant who began his insurance career within the English & American Group, Michael specialised in the insurance service division of E & A where he was responsible for the management of both corporate underwriting and run-off clients.In 1994, Michael joined the Whittington Group to spearhead the diversification from core run-off business into the management of corporate and captive syndicates and the provision of insurance consultancy.Prior to joining PXRE, Michael was Insurance Operations Director of the Whittington Group and Managing Director of its Lloyd's Managing Agent.
