"People have to start with the realization that digital materials, photos, videos, documents, are not the same as traditional things that you can stick on a shelf and more or less forget about," said Bruce Walton, project manager of e-services at Ottawa's Library and Archives Canada, one of four federal conservation departments hosting Preservation Quest on Sept. 14 for the public to learn about saving valued material.
