Biography
Keith Walters grew up on a dairy farm in Hays, Kansas, where they also grew wheat and sorghum.He was very active in 4-H and graduated from Thomas More Prep High School in 1979, lettering eight times in football, basketball and baseball.He attended Garden City Jr. College for a year and a half, where he played football and earned All American as a sophomore at middle line backer.
Keith then transferred to Baylor University and started for two years at outside linebacker.There he earned a BS in education and a minor in journalism.He earned a MS in education in 1985 and married the former Laura Ann Pogue.
Keith coached college football for 11 years before joining Pogue Seed Co., Inc. in 1994 as a sales rep.
In 2002 Pogue Seed became Pogue Agri Partners.Since that time Keith has been in Lead Management as Managing Partner, overseeing sales, marketing and small grains production.He also has an active role in the production of warm season grass production and wildlife seed and legumes.
Keith and Laura have been married for 23 years and reside in Pleasanton, Texas with their two children, Alexandria and Luke.
