Mr. Tim Walter

Tim Walter, CFO of Ziff Properties, Inc. (ZPI), will become CEO in September.

Walter said Chicago-based Jupiter has not disclosed its plans for the Cigar Factory.Some brokers have speculated that some or all of the building could be redeveloped into loft-style residential units if the shortage of on-site parking can be resolved.

As CEO, Tim is responsible for the day to day operations of Ziff Properties.With the Firm since the beginning, Tim has been intimately involved with every aspect of the commercial real estate business and served as CFO prior to becoming CEO in 2006.

Tim relocated from New York to Charleston in 1991 and has an extensive background in finance, management and real estate.After building a solid analytical foundation at Touche Ross, he joined forces with Steve Ziff to own and manage Lower East Redevelopment in New York City.

Tim received his bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University in 1983 and a master's in Architecture and Real Estate Development from Columbia University in 1987.He is a certified financial planner, a South Carolina real property broker, and has sat on the board of several not-for-profit corporations.

Relocating from New York in 1992, Tim Walter has made a mark for himself in finance, management and real estate.He began his career as an analyst at Touche Ross, then formed a partnership with Stephen Ziff to own and manage Lower East Redevelopment in New York City.

He subsequently has been involved in owning and managing the finances simultaneously of a watch manufacturing and import company, an insurance brokerage, an aerobics studio, nightclubs and other ventures.He managed a $50 million (trades) stock market investment fund and also managed the Lakewood Development Company in Texas.Throughout this time, Tim was retained by several corporate clients as their consultant and accountant.

Mr. Walter received a B.S. in finance and accounting from Indiana University in 1983 and a M.A. in architecture and real estate development from Columbia University in 1987.He is a certified financial planner, a South Carolina real property broker, and also sits on the board of several not-for-profit corporations.
