  On hot days, trainers give the elephants an ice treat to help the them cool off, said Lorrell Walter, the zoo's spokeswoman.
  
  Trainers brought out the treats out in three stainless steel bowls, dumping them onto the ground near a stack of hay.The treats today were made of sugar-free Kool-Aid and bits of fruit (oranges, apples and bananas), Walter said.
