SPOTLIGHT ON WCLP's BOARD: Dale Walls
Dale Walls is WCLP's longest-serving Board member and a genuine treasure of the organization.
He is a San Diego community member, representing on the Board with passion and sensitivity the voice of the clients we serve.
In November of 2005, Dale completed nine years of WCLP Board service.
The Board recently voted unanimously to invite him to serve for a fourth three-year term (an option open only to client members), because of his active involvement and unique voice on the Board.
Despite some significant health-related challenges and the geographic distance between his home and Los Angeles, where WCLP is headquartered, Dale rarely misses a Board or committee meeting.
He recently served on the Executive Director Search Committee (comprised of Board and staff members).
"Dale is a true believer in WCLP's mission, and he represents our client community with compassion and wisdom," says WCLP Executive Director, Pegine Grayson.

Finally, Dale previously served as a Board member of the Legal Aid Association of California.
"I can think of no worthier cause on which to expend my time and energy than ensuring quality legal services to underserved communities," notes Dale.
"Western Center takes the lead on these issues around the state and I'm proud to be a part of it."
Dale lives with his daughter, Tris, who graciously provides him with the logistical support he needs (driving him to meetings, correspondence by email) to remain so active in our community.
