Reid Walker is vice president of global communications and sponsorships for Lenovo International, publicly traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (LNVGY). With nearly $17 billion in sales annually, Lenovo is the world’s third largest PC maker. As communications lead for the corporation, he is responsible for media relations, employee communications (25,000 employees), philanthropy as well as global sponsorships and alliances.Previously he served as vice president of communications for Honeywell Specialty Materials. There he was responsible for leading global communications efforts, including marketing communications, advertising, internal and external communcations, and crisis and issues management. He was instrumental in driving communications that supported growth strategies and built value for the Honeywell brand. Reid has held communications leadership positions at companies such as General Electric and the Nasdaq Stock Market.As a member of the Mandan Tribe of North Dakota, he has been active in Native American issues. He founded a non-profit organization to raise awareness of Native American writers. The program, called NativeWrites, recognizes outstanding works of fiction and non-fiction by Native Americans ages 18 – 30.
