Mr. Ken Wainer, 33, is a senior investment analyst whose responsibilities include identifying investment opportunities with a special focus on emerging markets, distressed debt, specialty credit and natural resources - as well as selection of hedge funds that are most appropriate to access such opportunities.Before joining Signet in 2004 he was finance director of Matterhorn Ltd., a São Paulo, Brazil-based holding company and family office (2003-04); an investment banker with Violy, Byorum & Partners (2001-03) and Bear, Stearns & Co. (1995-98); and an investment manager with Hellmold Associates Opportunity Fund (1994-95), a hedge fund focused on distressed and event-driven investing.Mr. Wainer has a BA from Harvard College and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
