Announcing the deal in Washington today, James P Wade, Vice-President, International Business for USPS, said " We are always looking for ways to improve the services we offer our customers, and in this instance we felt that viewing Europe as a single market by using only one supplier was the best way forward. "Through working with Consignia, and its GLS network, we are confident that our customers will benefit from improved reliability and flexibility in our service offering. "This single supplier solution means that our parcels will no longer be flown to over twenty destinations across Europe and instead they will be sent direct to GLS's central European parcel hub and delivered through its integrated network."
