Katrien Vorlat is a partner resident in Stibbe's Brussels office.She practices corporate and financial law.She represents European and US clients, including amongst others industrial conglomerates, as well as investment firms.Katrien Vorlat has negotiated and structured a wide variety of M&A transactions, joint ventures, investment schemes and syndicated loans.In the area of financial law she has advised some companies listed on the Brussels Stock Exchange.She has also assisted several Belgian companies during fund raising through private placements and/or public offerings.As a result of this involvement Katrien Vorlat has acquired detailed knowledge and working experience with Belgian Regulatory and Market Authorities.

Katrien Vorlat is a 1990 graduate from the law faculty of the University of Louvain (K.U.Leuven).She also received an LL.M. from Yale Law School in 1992.In 1993 she obtained a comparative law degree from the Faculty of Comparative Law of Strasbourg.She is admitted to the Brussels Bar.

Katrien Vorlat is a 1990 graduate from the law faculty of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (lic. jur., K.U.Leuven).She also obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Yale Law School in 1992.In 1993 she obtained a comparative law degree from the Faculty of Comparative Law of Strasbourg.She was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 1993 and became a partner at Stibbe in 2001.

Katrien Vorlat wrote several articles on corporate law issues.

She gave the opening address at the inauguration ceremony of the Flemish section of the Brussels Bar in 1996.Katrien Vorlat is a member of the board of directors of the Vlaamse Management Associatie (Flemish Management Association).
