Stefan Vorkoetter
Chief Technologist
Stefan graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in Computer Science in 1987, and a Master of Mathematics in 1989.
Since that time, he has worked in the fields of computer algebra, high performance database systems, and flight planning for companies in the Waterloo area.
In his spare time, he has developed a distributed database system for the local real estate community, administrative software for various small businesses, the MotoCalc electric flight performance prediction package, a web enabled database engine, and most recently, an on-line general aviation flight planning system.
He is fluent in C, C++, Maple, Pascal, Perl, and SQL.
Stefan has a variety of personal interests: He designed and drafted the plans for the house we live in, is an avid electric model airplane hobbyist, wrote a monthly column in QuietFlyer magazine for many years, dabbles in electronics, and is currently building an airplane . He also rides Norwegian Fjordhorses, participates in the running of our horse farm, and flies a Cessna 172 in his spare time.
