Bud Vogt

on "Bud" Vogt was elected City Treasurer in November 2006.Bud is a Certified Public Accountant and has been a small business owner in La Mesa since 1990.

He brings 40 years of financial experience to the Treasurer's position including 20 years in banking and private industry serving in senior management positions and 20 years in public accounting.As a lifelong San Diegan, Bud received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from San Diego State University and has worked in San Diego throughout his career.

Bud is a member of the AICPA, the California Society of CPAs, and the California Municipal Treasurer's Association.He is also a member of the La Mesa Sunrise Rotary.Bud has lived in the East County for over 40 years and he and his wife, Darlene, have resided in La Mesa since 1999.

The City Treasurer's primary responsibility is investing surplus funds in the City Treasury in accordance with the California Government Code sections 53601, 53607 and 53635.
