Please be prepared to show a certification card at the time you sign your waiver.  Any cert card is fine (AOW, Stress and Rescue, etc).  Due to the advanced and volatile nature of North Carolina diving, an advanced open water certification is highly encouraged.  Any divers interested in additional training should contact Captain Al Vogt at 443-255-3775.  See our training page for more details.

    Captain Al Vogt:

Captain AL got started in S.C.B.A. in 1993.For years he worked in the Environmental field as a level 1 confined space rescue leader. In the winter of 1993 he did his first SCUBA course in Cancun Mexico. He continued to dive there for the next 5 years. Not until 1999 did he achieve his first real 'C" card with PADI as an Open Water diver. He stayed with PADI thru 5 "specialties", Advanced and Rescue and then was awarded his "Master Diver."Now hooked on diving, he began climbing the proverbial ladder and is presently an Asst. Instructor with TDI.He holds advanced nitrox, decompression procedures and extended range. His primary interests are wreck diving, spear fishing and technical deep diving.Captain Al has dived in many places around the world including the deep wrecks of the Great Lakes but still insists that there's no place on Earth like North Carolina wreck diving.Captain Al began diving the blue clear waters of North Carolina in 2000 and soon found himself mating one of the local dive boats where his ship mates nicknamed him the "Magnet".It didn't seem to matter where they dropped him or in what visibility or current, he always found the wreck. After a near fatal accident almost took away the captain of the vessel he worked for, Al obtained his USCG Captain's license ...rated, aerobatic, and commercial airplane pilot as well as holding a commercial driving license for tractor trailers. Is there anything out he can't drive???Captain Al keeps a winter home in Baltimore, MD where he still does environmental work for the USCG.His summer home in Morehead City, NC keeps him close the sport that he loves.Look 10,000' up or 200' down ...
