Kirk is originally from Alexandria, LA and has lived in the Washington, DC area since May 2003.Prior to moving to the DC area, he studied at Louisiana Tech University where he received a BS in Finance.While pursing his undergraduate study, he worked as an intern at Merrill Lynch where he assisted with research and market analysis for investment portfolios.Upon moving to DC, he worked at Northrop Grumman Corporation in a supporting role for their international business development arm.In the fall of 2005, he decided to pursue his graduate study full-time in the Global Environmental Policy Master's program at American University.His specific area of interest is climate change policy with a particular focus on market integration strategies for renewable energy in the US and in the developing world.He will graduate in May 2007 and plans to stay in the DC area.
