CAFÉ ADELAIDE NAMES KEVIN VIZARD EXECUTIVE CHEF
New Orleans, LA (October 24, 2003) - Café Adelaide, the newest venture of the Commander's Palace Family of Restaurants, today named Kevin Vizard the restaurant's Executive Chef.Café Adelaide and The Swizzle Stick Lounge will open in the new Loews New Orleans Hotel in December 2003. "We have always admired Kevin's cooking," said Ti Martin, Commander's Palace Restaurant co-owner."He has truly been one of New Orleans's greatest talents and getting to work together now to create Café Adelaide is simply a professional treat." Vizard, a New Orleans native, has been a player in the New Orleans restaurant scene for over 20 years.Ironically, his first job interview was at Commander's Palace in 1981.Through the years, Vizard honed his skills at a number of New Orleans restaurants, including Mr. B's Restaurant, Prytania Bar & Grill, the Bayou Ridge Café, and again recently at Commander's Palace. Vizard eventually opened two Creole bistros of his own - Kevin's and Vizard's.
