USAF was extremely helpful in reconstructing the events related to the Langley Cyber Attack for Mr. Vizard. In addition, USAF representatives brilliantly articulated to Mr. Vizard how the Langley Cyber Attack and USAF communicators have been seminal in recents developments in USAF Information Operations (IO) doctrine.

Mr. Vizard has informed us that Popular Science will print a feature article on the Langley Cyber Attack in the February-March time frame in 1999.

Friday night: We left for Maine and Frank (the 7-year-old) was complaining that his neck hurt.I felt his neck and was horrified to discover a lump just above his hairline in the back of his neck.Well, I'm the paranoid Mommy type and one small symptom will turn into a life-threatening tragedy by the time my imagination is finished with it.So I had four hours of driving with my babies asleep in the back and four hours for my imagination to ponder the lump in Frank's neck.Four hours later, we arrived at the hotel and my imagination had already provided me with very detailed images of Frank undergoing chemotherapy among other terrible things.Sure, laugh about it.I do too sometimes after we've been the to doctor and she's once again shaken her head at me.Yes, tell me I need medication.
    ...
Well, I felt better after going to bed knowing that Frank probably had nothing more than a minor neck injury.I even woke Frank up to ask him if he hurt his neck.He mumbled, half asleep, "Um, uh huh, I landed on my head when I did a cartwheel."

Okay, all better, right?WRONG!We went to look at the house and it was OH MY GOODNESS SOOOO BEAUTIFUL!3,060 square feet.100 years old.The architecture is like nothing I've ever seen. And I'm thinking, "Heh, bet THIS one is haunted!"I meandered outside and my soon-to-be-new-neighbor walked up.
    ...
I whirled around and Frank was laying on the neighbor's trampoline, clutching his right leg.Long story short...Frank's in a cast and out of school for the foreseeable future. He's laying next to me right now, keeping me company.Oh, you think that's all?Heck no!

Saturday night, after making an offer on the house, we drove the 4 1/2 hours back to Andover. It was quiet here.I started making dinner, Frank was laying back watching TV, and then Ali came running into the kitchen, blood gushing from her nose and splattering on the floor.
    ...
Monday...I took Frank in for his leg x-rays, made an appt. to have Ali's nose cauterized, went to the lab, took Zach to the doctor (not a very productive business day...but hey, family comes first) and came home.Got to work on May's very late issue of The Write Markets Report and Zach came running in and said, "Mom, a kid just pulled a gun on me!"Say WHAT?!?!

Through stammering and physically shaking, Zach told me that a tall boy "with whiskers" pulled a gun on him outside.Zach acted unconcerned and walked inside...nonchalantly.I don't know how he did that.
    ...
Frank has his new cast on.We were scheduled to all fly together to Wisconsin for Richard's sister's wedding this afternoon. But, the orthopedist has ordered Frank to NOT fly on an airplane because his leg may swell to gargantuan proportions. So, Frank, Ali and I had to stay home.
