  Joe doesn't mess around, he's gonna put you on fish and hook you up.He taught me how to fly fish on the Salmon River last year and fine-tuned me this year.We'd get on the good water before the sun came up, get set up and fish from sunrise to dinnertime.Joe keeps us rigged up with the happening flies and he's there to help land the fish he puts us on.This trip I must have hooked and fought over 30 fish (in the first few hours of the first day!) before I finally "got it" and landed a beautiful atlantic salmon.We got to watch Joe in action when he came by to fish with us on his day off, he was constantly hooking up, ..... amazing.

  Fished early season with Joe Vivenzio, on April 1st 2007.My girlfriend and I's first visit to the Salmon River; it was an incredible and unforgettable experience!Tough conditions with very high and freezing cold water, but Joe is an amazingly patient and persistent man.His experience on the river is without a doubt impeccable.
  
  Joe taught us how to rig and present the fly properly for the existing conditions, whether from shore or from his impressive Hyde drift boat.He also explained that you have to believe and have confidence that the fish are there, right where you think they are.Another good lesson taught was not to chase fish down river when the water is raging at 1800 CFM.THAT'S A NO, NO, right Joe?
  
  I highly recommend hiring Joe whether you are a beginner or veteran.His knowledge and experience will stay with you for a lifetime.Despite the bad weather and conditions, he made us laugh and have a good time to no end, sharing many stories.This is the kind of man you want to have as a friend.The thing I like best about Joe is that there was no giving up until that "magic hook-up" happened.
