    Janis VitomskisLatvian CC-grandmaster Janis Vitomskis is our co-author on the new CD-ROM publication 'The Total Marshall'.

    He is a world-acknowledged expert on this exciting opening, having worked with Tal and Gutman for analysis in the 2nd edition of the Encyclopaedia of Chess Openings in the early 1980s.

    Vitomskis has contributed many new ideas to the theory of the Marshall and on this CD he reveals many of his secrets for the first time.

    Janis Vitomskis was a finalist in the 15th Correspondence Chess World Championship and he earned the ICCF grandmaster title with an excellent result on top board in the ongoing 12th CC Olympiad Final.His team will at least win the bronze medals and possibly finish second.

    Janis Vitomskis is games editor of the (English-language) magazine Latvian Correspondence Chess and Latvian Gambit.He is also a great expert on that gambit, 1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 f5.

    Palview3 has been used to create a page illustrating Janis in action with the Marshall Attack.This will open in a separate browser window which you can close after playing through the game.
