   Vandalia-based Eurand announced it has named Krishna Vishnupad as vice president of research and development for the drug-delivery company. Before joining Eurand, Vishnupad was senior associate director of product development for Sandoz Pharmaceutical Corp., where he managed a team of scientists that developed three new drug applications and two abbreviated drug applications.

   Additionally, Dr. Kinam Park, Professor of Pharmacy at Purdue University and CRS President, and Krishna Vishnupad, Vice President of Research and Development at Eurand, North America will serve on the board as non-voting members.
   
   The winners of the Eurand Award Program will be honored at a Special Session on July 22 at The 29th Annual Controlled Release International Symposium in Seoul, Korea.
