On this special evening of celebrating a shared heritage, IYI president Swami Ramananda and Swami Srinivasananda, director of the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Ranch and a senior disciple of Sri Swami Vishnudevananda, will share the teachings of their gurus and tell stories about the lives of these great Yoga masters.

Our beloved teacher Sri Swami Vishnudevananda was very devoted to the wisdom and the devotional love expressed in the Srimad Bhagavata (ancient scripture).

During the final years of his life, Swami Vishnudevananda spent many hours and days listening to the reading of this sacred book, becoming absorbed in deep meditation, as well as in spontaneous outpouring of devotional tears.
