Through the good graces of Tim van Milligan at Apogee Components in Colorado Springs, who put me in touch with Dave Virga of the Colorado Springs Rocket Society, who put me in touch with the club's VP Ernie Puckett, who didn't need much convincing to lay on a short-notice, unscheduled launch day at the Preble Ranch outside the town of Peyton, CO, my friend Jeff and I were able to launch rockets for the first time in ... uh ... nearly a couple of decades (for me at least).
