Mr. Adam A. Violich

Adam Violich joined E * OFFERING in June of 1999, and focuses on raising private capital for late–stage technology companies.As the head of E * OFFERING's Private Capital Group, Adam is leading the firm's efforts in the private equity market and has successfully raised over $ 150 million from financial and strategic investors in the last six months.In addition, Adam works closely with the Research and Corporate Finance Teams to identify high–quality companies in need of private or public financing.Prior to joining E * OFFERING, he worked at Robertson Stephens, where he headed the Internet and e–commerce private placement effort.While at Robertson, Adam successfully raised approximately $ 400 million for late–stage technology companies from traditional institutional and venture capital sources, as well as strategic investors.Prior to that, Adam was a member of the Strategy and Marketing Group for Bechtel Corporation.Adam received his AB from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Mr. Violich heads the San Francisco branch of SG Cowen's Private Equity Group.Through his career, he has structured and closed a broad range of equity and debt transactions including common and preferred equity, convertible subordinated debt, recapitalizations and leveraged buyouts.In the last 3 years, Mr. Violich has completed over 30 late-stage technology private placements raising approximately $750 million.

He joined SG Cowen from WitSoundview/E*Offering, where he was Head of their Private Capital Group.Mr. Violich was responsible for starting the Private Capital Group and for launching E*Offering's proprietary online private placement platform that enables accredited individuals to invest in private equity deals.Prior to WitSoundview/E*Offering, Mr. Violich led Robertson Stephens' private placement efforts in the Internet and e-commerce industries until 1999.Prior to joining Robertson Stephens, he was a member of the Corporate Strategy Group at Bechtel Corporation.

Mr. Violich received an A.B. degree in Earth Sciences from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. degree for The Stanford Graduate School of Business.
