"They started a free composition class to encourage young choreographers," said company director Deborah Vinton."They've been doing that regularly the whole year on Monday evenings and, as a result, we've been doing showings on Friday evenings once a month, and encouraging all different types of artists to come."
Choreographers, musicians, visual artists and a recent Booker High filmmaker have been featured.

More than 50 community members will fill the stage for Vinton's reprise of "Alice," which will include new scenes and characters from "Alice in Wonderland."She is also restaging "Marble Halls" as a tribute to the late Stephanie Hall, who was a choreographer, teacher and vice-president of WCCB.
In keeping with her intention to encourage broad community participation and a variety of theatrical styles, Vinton is also including a performance by Nate Jacobs and members of his West Coast Black Theatre Troupe in the Spring Festival.
