  Abbie Ventura: Biography
  
  Abbie is a 2nd year master,s student at the University of South Carolina - she is highly disappointed that the first biographical information listed is her academic standing, as though she exists simply through that lens.And yet, this is how she defines herself and asserts her identity, as a professional student.Having done her undergraduate work at USC as well, she is adamant about relocating for her doctoral work.Once again not only her present, but future as well, is defined through her scholarly standing.Her past however, is separate from this institution.Having grown up in New England, she was destined to never assimilate to the South.
