BEHIND THE SEAMS, INC. was started by Linda Vaughan in 1992 and incorporated in 1993. Linda has sewn custom covers for boats, trailers, and various equipment, recovered truck and train seats, and also reupholstered church benches, office furniture, and custom designed cushions for outdoor furniture and bay window seats.

Ms. Vaughan has sewn for fire departments for eleven years and is experienced in uniform repairs, snap-on hose-bed covers, seat upholstery, and rapid intervention team (R.I.T.) bags.

Ms. Vaughan received her certification from THE TOTAL FIRE GROUP in Dayton, OH on July 23, 2003 and uses only Nomex thread and fabric for repairs.
