Anne Valliere

Established in memory of Anne Valliere, Physical Education Teacher and Coach at Ancona from 1992 to 2001, this fund supports the Ancona School athletic program.

A 1990 graduate of St. Ambrose University, Anne began teaching at the Ancona School in September, 1992.She extended the physical education program, developed the middle school sports program, and was the inaugural coach of Ancona's competitive girls and boys soccer and basketball teams.Anne was resolute that teamwork and the spirit and joy of movement and sport be a part of every Ancona student's experience.

Anne dedicated herself to enhancing each child's sense of self-worth through sports and competitive play.She exemplified the competitive spirit, sense of fair play and teamwork we hope for all of our students, and she inspired each child to reach for his or her personal best.

Anne embraced life fully.Through her courageous final year, she taught all of us to live each day with meaning and grace.
