Valle, P.E. has been named as an Associate.Mr. Valle has been with the firm for more than six years and has accepted the challenge of an Associate.As an Associate he will have an enhanced role in the Firm's business development, quality control, and client services.
  
  Mr. Valle holds a bachelors degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University.He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE).He is a recipient of the TSPE Young Engineer of the Year Award.
  
  Mr. Valle recently served as project engineer on the $15,000,000 Water Treatment Plant Expansion project for the City of Temple.

  "ENGINEER OF THE YEAR" - THOMAS D. VALLE, P.E.
  
  KPA Partner Thomas D. Valle, P.E. was named 2007 Engineer of the Year for the Central Texas Region by the Texas Society of Professional Engineers at their annual banquet held in late February in Waco, Texas.
  
  Mr. Valle is a past President of the TSPE Central Texas Chapter and currently serves as President for the local chapter of the Water Environment Association of Texas.He is active in community organizations such as Temple Rotary and Jaycees, and serves on the Citizens Review Committee for the United Way of Central Texas.In 2004Mr. Valle received the Young Professionals Service Award for the American Water Works Association, Texas Section.

  Tommy Valle, a spokesman for Kasberg, Patrick & Associates, under contract to the BRA regarding the Temple-Belton Regional Sanitary Sewer plant, said the odors come from the area where wastewater enters the treatment plant and also from compost operations.Later in the meeting, it was stated that a number of small manufacturing plants in the area may contribute to the odors.
  
  Valle said that in the 15 years the plant has been in operation, BRA has received only 183 complaints.

  Thomas is a partner in the firm and has been practicing engineering since 1999.His engineering experience includes project management, design, preparation of construction plans and specifications, and construction administration for water supply, water distribution, water treatment plants, wastewater collection systems and wastewater treatment plants.Thomas has undertaken many studies and investigations including water distribution, wastewater collection and water and wastewater rate studies.He has worked with many communities surrounding Central Texas as well as Water Districts and River Authorities.
  
  Thomas is a professional engineer licensed in the State of Texas and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A & M University in 1999.Thomas is active in the American Society of Civil Engineers, Texas Society of Professional Engineers (Past President), Water Environment Association of Texas (President), American Water Works Association and the Rotary Club of Temple (Board Member).He was named Young Engineer of the Year in Central Texas in 2003 by the Texas Society of Professional Engineers and received the Texas Section American Water Works Association Young Professionals Service Award in 2004.
