Dr. Patrick Vall is a Cleveland, Ohio born and raised native. His interest in veterinary medicine began his sophomore year of high school. This desire was fulfilled in 1992 when he graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Patrick and his wife, Shannon, are the proud parents of Jonathan, Sarah and Elizabeth. Their German Shorthair Pointer, Grace, and their cat, Tucker, are other important and much loved members of the family.
Dr. Vall began his career as an associate veterinarian at Lewis Veterinary Hospital in Columbia, Maryland. In 1997 he purchased Maple Springs Veterinary Hospital in Gaithersburg, Maryland just outside of Washington, DC. He greatly enjoyed building Maple Springs over the next seven years into a thriving clinic. However, he and Shannon decided that they wanted to raise their children in Shannon's home state of Colorado.
On May 5, 2004 Dr. Vall became the new owner of The Animal Medical Center when he purchased the hospital from Dr. Richard Goode. He is excited with the opportunity that The Animal Medical Center has provided him and he is thrilled to be living in Colorado. His professional interests include canine and feline internal medicine, dermatology and orthopedics. A particular passion of his is the use of the carbon dioxide laser for all of his surgical procedures. The CO2 laser drastically decreases post-operative pain for Dr. Vall's patients, in addition to decreasing bleeding, swelling and the risk of infection.

Dr. Vall has many personal interests and hobbies, including climbing, hiking, biking, skiing, gardening, Civil War history and spending time with his dog, Grace. Being from Ohio, he is a very proud Buckeye and a devout Cleveland Browns, Indians and Ohio State University fan. His most recent endeavor is his goal of climbing all 54 of Colorado's 14,000 foot peaks by the time he is 50. As of July, 2004 he has 6 down and 48 to go in 12 years. Do you think he can do it?!? On July 12, 2004 Dr. Vall summited Mt. Rainier in Washington, which is the longest endurance climb in the lower 48 states. Since he is new to Colorado, Dr. Vall is looking for climbing partners.
