"They are exploiting women and the reason they're doing that is not lost on anyone," says Charla Vall, women's director of the Students' Union board of directors.
"The Pump is trying to bring in profits."
Vall says what she finds most offensive is that the bar is offering tuition money as one of the prizes.
"I just feel that where tuition fees are so high for some women that this is not just a competition for fun , it's a means of paying for their education, and I don't feel that is appropriate," says Vall.
She says the Students' Union plans to write a letter of complaint to The Pump and is also considering banning bar promotions on Students' Union information boards.
