Michele Valkov, a spokeswoman for NFL Films, which has its studio here at the Bishop's Gate Corporate Center off Route 38, said the 82 awards were the most for an independent television and motion-picture studio.
"It's a great tradition," Valkov said."It gets harder and harder to win."
Valkov said the company has won two to five Emmys every year since the award program began 23 years ago.The company won two Emmys last year, she said.
In the features category, "NFL Films Presents Gerry Faust & The Golden Dream" was honored Tuesday for its story on Faust, who went from coaching a high team in Ohio to his dream job as head coach of the storied Notre Dame team from 1981 to 1985.
"NFL Films Presents," which airs on ESPN and ESPN2, has won the award in the features category four of the last five years.
The company also received an Emmy in the category of outstanding editing for "NFL Under the Helmet," which turned simple NFL sound bites into hip-hop music.
The company is still busy moving into its new building at the Bishop's Gate complex from its old facility on Fellowship Road, Valkov said.
The spokeswoman said the new 200,000-square-foot facility will open in September, where it will continue to operate as a self-contained studio, producing and distributing more than 400 hours of NFL programming.
"Right now, we're kind of split between two buildings," Valkov said."We're 75 percent in (the new building), and a lot of equipment is still in the old building."
The 38-year-old company employs about 280 people.
Prior to transferring to Mount Laurel in 1979, NFL Films was headquartered in two locations in Philadelphia, first over a Chinese laundromat and then in a converted medical clinic.
