   The mayor of Telde, Francisco Valido (PP), will be submitting his resignation following his arrest last Tuesday in connection with an investigation into alleged commission payments for building contracts. Sr Valido was released on bail of €80,000 following a preliminary court hearing. Although protesting his innocence, Sr Valido was left with no choice as he had already promised to resign were he to be implicated in the corruption scandal that has led to 18 arrests so far....
