Marci Valicenti - Broker Associate
...
Marci was raised in Bettendorf, Iowa. She has yet to have had better corn on the cob than in the Hawkeye State, but the gloomy winters inspired her family to move to Mesa, Arizona, where she finished high school. She went on to Arizona State University, working her way through college at none other than Jacque Penne (J.C. Penney Company.) After graduating with a Bachelor's of Science degree majoring in Computer Information Systems, she was forced to choose her career path. She was approached by the executives within J.C. Penney to begin a management trainee position. She was happy to learn that monetarily wise and with the benefits package, she would be better to remain with J.C. Penney, than to begin at an entry level position transfixed in front of a computer. It turned out to be a life impacting decision, especially when Tom Valicenti, Rolf's salesman extraordinaire, came to call selling men's wallets and leather goods to Marci, whom was then the store buyer for the men's department.
...
Marci remembers her first impression of Tom as "cute…short, but cute."
...
Once again Tom came calling and sold his "entire line" to Marci.
...
They were married two years later and Marci transferred back to the Phoenix area.
...
Three years into the marriage and a baby on the way, Marci and Tom decided it was time to leave the Sun Devil country and head to the mountains to raise their child.
...
Once in Steamboat, Marci worked part-time for a fine dining restaurant named Mattie Silks and dabbled as Tom's assistant in real estate.
...
At this time, Marci retired from Mattie Silks and her emphasis became homemaker and real estate assistant.
...
With both children in school, timing became right for Marci to broaden her real estate experience and become a broker and team with her husband.Since customer satisfaction has been the backbone of her entire career, Marci really feels that Tom and she go over and above what a typical broker may do for their clients.Having realized their own goal of living and investing in Steamboat, it gives them great satisfaction to help someone else grasp the same dream. Her interior design experience with the speculative homes has been instrumental to many of their real estate clients, providing vision for their investments.
Marci volunteers actively in the public schools in Steamboat. Her Midwest upbringings lead her to being very active in Cub Scouts for several years, as well as coaching Parks & Rec's t-ball and coach pitch teams. As a co-organizer of the "Support the Troops" organization through the Yampa Valley Community Foundation, Marci has volunteered numerous hours since 2002 soliciting monetary and tangible donations that are prepared into care packages that are send to our American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
