  Environmental consultant Usman Valiante is also less than enamoured with the WEEE scheme.The reason: The proponents of the plan are essentially "foxes wanting to guard the henhouse."
  
  Valiante notes that Ontario Electronics Stewardship, an industry association made up of large electronic manufacturers and big box retailers, also has representation on Waste Diversion Ontario, the entity overseeing development of the province's e-waste program.Valiante says this is nothing short of a blatant conflict of interest.
