The second part of the presentation , conducted by Amy Valenzuela – a community educator with DuPont Pharmaceuticals – dealt with how HIV patients should deal with their physicians.
Write out questions or concerns to show your doctor at your appointment , Valenzuela said.And ask your doctor : what are my other options?'.
Valenzuela stressed that HIV patients must take a proactive role in their HIV therapy.Sometimes we feel we're talked into it.' We know that it is good for us , but we don't really feel like we have a choice , she said.
HIV can be a healing force in our life if we decide to make a choice to have it do so..
