    Hilton Valentine, best known for his work with The Animals, will take the stage at Jitters Coffeehouse.Valentine was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 for his work with the group.

    Valentine, a British native, taught himself to play guitar at the age of 13.A natural, Valentine formed his first group, a skiffle band named The Heppers, soon after picking up his chosen instrument.The band eventually evolved into The Wild Cats and gained some notoriety, recording a short album.

    The Animals began its evolution in 1963, with guitarist Valentine, vocalist Eric Burdon, keyboardist Alan Price, bassist Chas Chandler and drummer John Steel.
