  Flavio Luiz Schieck Valente Flavio Valente qualified as a physician at the University of São Paulo, and has a Masters in Public Health from Harvard.He specializes in facilitating participatory integrated strategies in a wide variety of areas, including health, nutrition,education, human rights, social participation, income generation and microcredit.In recent years he has mainly focussed on Fod and Nutrition SEcurity Policy elaboration, infant malnutrition and mortality reduction within the framework of sustainable livelihoods and human rights.He has also been working on capacity building for school feeding program councils, health councils and others.Presently coordinates the International Secretariat of the Global Forum on Sustainable Food and Nutritional Security.Formerly the General Coordinator of Brazilian NGO ÁGORA, Flavio continues to coordinate a program for that organization, while also working on UNESCO and UNICEF-sponsored projects.Organizations interested in engaging Flavio's services are invited to contact him by flvalente@tecnolink.com.br.
