   Ernie Valente, PhD, Director of Analysis (University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill) At NCQA, Dr. Valente is primarily responsible for overseeing all analyses generated from the data available in NCQA's data warehouse. He is also charged with developing statistical methods and providing statistical and methodological advice for internal and external reports. Dr. Valente was previously with the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC) as Director of Information Systems development and analysis. In that role, he worked with a number of large data bases within AAMC, and external data such as the American Hospital Association survey and Interstudy. He received his doctoral degree in psychology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
