  Cristine Urquhart, MSW, RSW, has designed and delivered numerous training sessions for health and social service providers on understanding substance use and effective communication methods for supporting change.
  
  Cristine is the Provincial Training Consultant for the ActNow BC - Healthy Choices in Pregnancy initiative at the British Columbia Centre of Excellence for Women's Health. She has presented at provincial, national and international levels on using collaborative Motivational Interviewing approaches within an integrated framework to support the health of women in childbearing years.
  
  Cristine has more than 10 years experience working in community and acute care capacities with individuals with substance use, and other complex health and social concerns. Cristine is an active member of the international Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT).
