Matt Urbas joined Digiknow in August 1999 as an intern, working on Indians.com and IndiansXtra.com.After a year and a half of studying computer science and communications at John Carroll University, Matt decided that he would be better off learning the ways of the web at DigiKnow.He worked part-time as a content developer in the off-season, while continuing to work on the Indians websites during the summer.It turned out that what Matt learned in his first three months at DigiKnow was worth several times more than what he learned in three semesters at college; he was hired as a full-time content developer in September 2000.

His favorite diversions are sports and film.He has been an avid bowler since the age of 5, was an all-star shortstop in Little League, and despite a 6-year absence from the game, won a CYO State High School Basketball Championship in 1997.He continued to expand his athletic horizons and in 2001 fulfilled a lifelong dream by beginning a "wildly successful career" in recreational ice hockey.

While not on the ice, field, court or lanes, Matt keeps busy developing his passion for writing and film.Though attempts at their first feature-length screeplay have been hampered by what he refers to as a "horrifying lack of talent", he and his friend continue to add to their catalog of over 20 short films and mini-documentaries.
